Admissions Representative is responsible for directing
patients and/or relatives, visitors, and promoting positive guest relations.
Responsible for the Admissions/Registration, Pre-Admissions, Discharges, and
Transfers of patients. Accurately obtains demographic and insurance information
while collecting or making financial arrangements on co-pays, deductibles, and
self-pay accounts. Obtains insurance authorizations and/or pre-certifications,
and verifies insurance coverage and benefits.
Minimum Education: High
School Diploma or GED.
Minimum Experience: Two
to five years experience conducting prior authorizations, insurance benefit
verifications and strong knowledge of medical terminology. Typing
ability, good communication skills and detail oriented. Excellent
interaction and phone skills. Computer experience desirable.
