ABOUT THE POSITION
We are currently seeking a dynamic Accounting Clerk II to join our team at our office in Norfolk, VA. The Accounting Clerk II will be responsible for preparing assigned monthly bank reconciliations and completing unclaimed property due diligence and maintenance, provides support to the accounting department by uploading journal entries during month end close and scanning bank reconciliations. Involves heavy utilization of Excel, Outlook, On-Demand and reporting in the CAS claims system. Assists the claims department with inquiries regarding outstanding checks. Has frequent contact with agencies and the claims disbursement department regarding unclaimed property and reconciling items. This is a new position.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Two-year Associates degree in Accounting preferred
Relevant Work Experience: Must have bank reconciliation and/or account reconciliation experience, intermediate to advanced knowledge of excel.
