Job Description Looking for a Quality Assurance Manager that is experienced with ISO 9001. Company is moving to 2015 Revision certification. IATF 16949 experience would be a definite plus!!!
Develops and analyzes statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product.
  • Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
  • Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, and products.
  • Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability.
  • Investigates and adjusts customer complaints regarding quality.
  • Suggests and discusses alternative methods and procedures in solving problems and meeting changing market opportunities.
  • Cooperates with other management personnel in formulating and establishing company policies, operating procedures, and goals.
  • Develops future modifications of the quality system to delineate areas of responsibility, personnel requirements, and operational procedures within the program.
  • Confers with Dept Vice President to prepare the annual budget for the Quality Planning Dept and the ISO 9001 Program.
  • Visits and confers with representatives of material and supply vendors to obtain information related to supply quality, capability of vendor, and vendor quality standards.
  • As ISO 9001 Mgt Rep, a primary responsibility is to report on the performance of the quality system to Mgt. The review provides the basic for improvement of the quality system. You will also ensure that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the International Standard.
  • Directs the QS Coordinator in the day-to-day activities associated with the quality system. (i.e., audits, document control, meeting minutes, etc.)
  • Participates on the Feasibility Planning Committee to share knowledge on the quality planning requirements of new and/or proposed products.
  • Reviews technical publications, articles, and abstracts to stay abreast of technical developments in industry.
