This Demand Planner will work at 211 Schilling Circle in Hunt Valley, MD and report to a Supply Chain Planning Manager.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Demand Planner I - Supply Chain is a highly analytical resource responsible for maintaining item-level forecasts and facilitating the demand consensus process with cross functional groups for his/her area of accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and maintain item level forecasts, ensuring alignment with business direction and consistency with market trends
  • Analyze sales history, provide insights and articulate drivers in variances between sales and forecast
  • Maintain and refine item-level statistical forecasts for specific area of accountability
  • Synthesize multiple data streams to be leveraged in objective decision making, while maintaining transparency to assumptions used in the process
  • Work closely with Supply Planning and Customer Supply Chain Planning to understand constraints or other issues, escalating forecast changes timely and appropriately
  • Utilize planning and reporting systems to efficiently manage portfolio
  • Partner with Sales, Commercialization, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Functions to drive the monthly demand consensus process
  • Run monthly meetings and processes within S&OP to obtain a portfolio consensus forecast
  • Present demand forecasts to Senior Leadership Teams monthly
  • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master's Degree in Business, Supply Chain or related field
  • Minimum 4 years’ Demand and/or Supply Planning experience in Logistics, Operations, Data Analytics, Finance or a related field (A combination of full time work and internship / co-op experience will be considered)
  • Proficiency with MS Access, Power Point and Word
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Experience working with an ERP
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, communication & organization skills
  • Demonstrated success leading recommendations and change
  • Ability to communicate internally and externally across all levels
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficiency in SAP, ECC, APO or other Advanced Planning System
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Demand Planning experience working in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry
  • APICS (CSCP and CPIM) certifications
  • Experience building architecture to support predictive analytics
