Job Description

Must Haves: Bachelor's degree, Production Manager experience, Manufacturing Engineering, Continuous Improvement examples Kaizen, 5-S, Kanban, Process Methods.

Individual will be responsible to direct and coordinate activities concerned with the operation of the manufacturing department. Will be responsible to help provide optimum efficiency and economy of operations and maximize profits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering.
    10+ Years of hands-on operations experience in a manufacturing environment managing technical and hourly resources
    Must be self-directed, well organized and have good follow-up skills.
    Strong record of continuous improvement success including demonstrated experience using Kaizen, cellular manufacturing, one-piece flow, 5-S, standard work, visual management, kanban and process linking methodologies
  • Primary Responsibilities

  • Train and encourage team to improve in all areas of the business.
  • Will be responsible for managing anywhere from 25-35 employees. Focus will be working with 7 cell leaders that are in place currently.
  • Contact and field questions from the Customers, Sales Force, and Front End Organization.
  • Set high standards of conduct, and lead by example.
    Increase productivity, while not compromising quality.
  • Assist in the development of yearly budgets and budget containment.
  • Assist with the development of yearly business plans and report on monthly progress toward those plans.
  • Reduce errors and customer returns by root cause analysis and put corrective action plans into place.
  • Reduce inventory levels, while not compromising customer delivery.
  • Review all safety and OSHA requirements and make sure they are being adhered to.
  • Support Kaizen methodologies to continue to improve processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement and profitability growth initiatives. Report on initiatives monthly.
