UX/UI Designer
Contract to Hire
Wilmington DE

This position reports to the Web Development Manager and is responsible for designing a superior user experience incorporating our overall brand. Will be accountable for creating and establishing all aspect of a design project (print or digital), produce design mocks (layout, color scheme, traits etc.), and create UX/UI function according to a client's specifications.


Responsibilities:
  • Interfacing with the internal customers and Senior UX/UI designer to create brand/brand guidelines and innovative concepts
  • Conduct research, gather inspiration and design enveloping brand and visual concepts in accordance to business and functional requirements.
  • Design and develop enhancements: participate in the whole development cycle from discovery, requirement definition, graphic design, development, QA, documentation and deployment
  • Creating wireframes, mockups, graphics, icons, page layouts and user workflows
  • Participate in review of UX / UI as delivered by development teams provide feedback within QA cycle
  • Analyze customer data, including usability research findings, customer feedback and site metrics to better understand user audience and create better designs
  • Work closely with marketing, creative and technical teams to understand business needs and goals, refine strategy, features, and content
  • Drive user experience for the company’s online customers by designing and delivering innovative solutions
  • Participate in user research, usability testing, and review of analytics to analyze customer behavior
  • Determine Scenarios and Use Cases that cover customer behavior and expectations as well edge case conditions 
  • Manage online customer experience, Design and Mockups through and established project scope
  • Manage entire design lifecycle
  • Create designs that are responsive for both mobile and desktop screen dimensions

  • Requirements:
  • Equivalent Education Level Required: BA/BS or advanced degree preferred in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Industrial Design, Cognitive Psychology, or a related field or comparable experience designing commercial software products
  • Experience creating wireframes, mockups, graphics and user workflows
  • Thorough knowledge of web technologies including HTML 5 and understanding of mobile framework.
  • Thorough understanding of design implications as related to web technologies like HTML 5 / CSS3 /Javascript
  • Adobe Illustrator or similar tool for creating and delivering web designs
  • Capable of managing large and small scale UX projects that meet business needs, timelines, scope and deliverablesCommunicate and Defend user centered design principles to maintain a quality design solution in a mature, cooperative and productive manner
  • Job Requirements
