Job Description The Life Insurance New Business Processing employee acts as the liaison between the client and the Insurance carrier. This role provides customer service including answering client's questions and resolving issues within underwriting of a case upon receipt of the informal or formal application.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage the submission of Life Insurance applications to life insurance companies.
  • Reconcile outstanding pending case requirements and requests for additional information.
  • Provide an overview to our clients of the fundamental steps in the Life Insurance process as required.  Deliver quality customer service to our clients by researching and responding to all internal and external inquiries in an efficient and timely way.
  • Manage the life cycle of each case to service standards, working closely with clients to resolve any issues or potential obstacles.  Communicate regularly with clients on case status. 
  • Act as the liaison between the client and the insurance carrier; advocate and negotiate as needed with the goal of obtaining an offer and policy on behalf of the client.
  • Continually seek to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience working in the Life Insurance industry in a multi-carrier environment, managing the processing of new business cases including complex or large cases.
  • Life and Health license in resident state or ability to obtain within 120 days of hire.  Maintain Life & Health license through completion of continuing education course requirements.
  • Experience using multiple system applications, managing electronic and physical documents, ensuring they are properly recorded in systems and stored appropriately.
  • Knowledge of and adherence to HIPAA regulations.  Compliance with Insurance Department regulations and internal E&O procedures.
