The Payroll and Expense Administrator provides support to manage a diverse set of Accounting Operations tasks including Payroll Processing, Time and Expense System entry, Time and Expense System support, Expense Auditing, as well other duties as assigned to support the operations team.
Payroll Duties may include any or all of the following (60%) 
• Process bi-weekly payroll in a timely and accurate manner utilizing time and pay reporting systems.  
• Ensures all timesheets are submitted in compliance with policy, contract, state and regulatory requirements.
• Reviews computed wages and corrects any errors to ensure the accuracy of earnings
• Ensures that all changes to payroll are entered correctly
• Responds to employee inquiries and requests regarding payroll matters
• Communicate with staff and management regarding changes to payroll, resolving problems, answering questions and interpreting and explaining payroll policies 
• File tax reports (manually prepared and on-line reports); maintain for compliance and regulatory agencies 
• Assure that all legally required taxes, contributions and benefit payments are correctly setup, withheld and paid in a timely and accurate manner and reconciled accordingly 
• Maintains client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential 
• Performs other duties and special projects as requested by Payroll Manager
Expense Duties may include any or all of the following (40%)
• Review expense reports for compliance with travel policy using T&E system audit tools and general system oversight
• Assist Travel & Expense Manager with questions/issues from company travelers as needed 
• Prepare Month End reports per close deadlines
• Provide system support for web-based Concur solution
• Administer Corporate credit card program to include issuance, cancellations, and transaction support
• Assist Travel & Expense Manager with other duties as time permits and as approved by Payroll Manager
Minimum Qualifications:
• 2 years combined experience in Accounting, Finance, Payroll, Accounts Payable, or Expense administration 
• AA in accounting, finance, or related field; experience in lieu of degree acceptable
• Accredited certifications in payroll field (APA, etc.) a plus 
• MS Excel capabilities, and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Outlook, and Word)
• Proficiency with basic office equipment and automated payroll systems
• Working knowledge of payroll practices, labor and tax laws 
• Workday Time and Leave and/or Payroll Experience preferred
• Concur Expense experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple conflicting priorities in an efficient and effective manner
• Ability to plan and meet deadlines
• Proven high attention to detail with sensitive and critical pieces of information
• Excellent communication, both written and verbal, customer service and problem resolution skills are required. Able to address and resolve complex customer issues with tact and diplomacy
