Strategic Customer Group within Johnson & Johnson's One MD is recruiting for a Director, NA Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Strategic Initiatives. The preferred location for this position is West Chester, PA with consideration given to candidates in Somerville, NJ. Up to 25% domestic travel is required.

The role of

Director NA Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASC) Strategic Initiatives is to provide critical, high level project leadership and implementation management to the JJMD (Johnson & Johnson Medical Device) ASC strategic initiative. Reporting to the VP, ASCs & Enabling Technologies, this role will include project management of ASC strategic initiative on developing a winning long-term strategy inclusive of elements such as product portfolio, contracting, logistics, solutions and services leveraging digital technologies, potential partnerships and the overarching future-focused go-to-market model. It will focus on the JJMD organization and as needed with other J&J companies (e.g. Pharm Strategic Customer Group (SCG).

In this

role, you will be instrumental in helping to create and foster a strong organizational change management culture. You will help to solidify a matrixed working relationships and will work across the organization (e.g. franchises, Center of Excellences (CoEs), commercial organizations, CLS and other key partners across Johnson & Johnson) to manage workstream efforts, macro & micro projects and to provide strategic support. You will play a key role in aligning and leading the approach for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and measurement of the ASC initiative working closely with all SCG pillars (e.g. Customer Marketing & Solutions, Contract Pricing & Strategy) and other organizations within JJMD.

The Director

will support VP, ASCs & Enabling Technologies in collecting information and documenting the results/progress by initiative (e.g. milestones, inputs for dashboards) and will identify and highlight issues that merit further investigation by the JJMD leadership.

The position

requires strategic thinking, an ability to reduce complex situations into an implementable plan, organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to help the ASC team maximize JJMD's current impact and future growth. Due to the nature of this position, the NA Director should demonstrate exceptional judgment, professionalism and poise at all times. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include but are not

limited to

  • Project Management leadership of the JJMD ASC strategy development initiative inclusive of multiple virtual teams primarily focused on 6 areas (segmentation, data & analytics, product portfolio, capabilities portfolio, commercial model, supply chain and pricing & contracting strategy)

  • Lead product portfolio workstream, develop and

    present recommendations to NA leadership

  • Continuously draw data and generate insights from the initiative to influence critical business conversations, support strategy development, fuel and automate standardized Metrics and Reporting


  • Lead execution of assigned strategic projects

  • Deliver assigned strategic objectives, manage budgets and assist in resource planning, drive prioritization and planning

  • Identification of processes, technology and organizational design efforts required to achieve the defined objectives, as well as work with leadership to develop and evolve the roadmap, as well as incorporate the change management and communication components necessary for

    team success

  • Strategic and business planning lead for SCG ASC


  • Prepare executive updates

  • Develop appropriate scorecard(s) and facilitate development of analytics/metrics to include reporting & analytics on progress of projects/initiatives along with achievement of annual financial targets or other goals & objectives

  • Gather insights across key stakeholders (to include: SCG, Field Sales, Supply Chain, Franchise and NA Regional marketing, etc.) taking appropriate action translating them into an operational plan for


  • Lead development and execution of comprehensive

    change management plan

  • Lead/facilitate OneMD ASC growth planning


  • Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree or equivalent preferred

  • A minimum of 10 years of overall business

    experience is required

  • A minimum of 8 years of relevant commercial strategy, project management, marketing and/or account management experience is


  • Medical device and/or healthcare experience is


  • Big picture and strategic thinker with strong

    change management skills

  • Strong critical thinking; analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize information and put it in relevant context, develop and evaluate alternative courses of action, and

    design practical solutions are required

  • Highly efficient with the ability to manage a number of diverse tasks, activities, and projects, including both strategic and

    tactical projects

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to express ideas in a clear, well-organized and analytically

    sound manner are required

  • Negotiation and conflict management skills are
