Contract Length: 6 Months - Contract to Hire

Our client is an international information technology and solutions consulting company. The company is committed to ensuring the safety and security of the United States through the delivery of innovative, next-generation IT solutions. They are currently seeking a Senior Cyber Instructor/Subject Matter Expert to join their dedicated team.

Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be able to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, at minimum.

What You'll Do:

  • Detect network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators
  • Perform malware analysis and forensic analysis to gather evidence
  • Investigate computer fraud and other electronic crimes
  • Conduct hunt missions with a service, DoDIN or national Cyber Protection Team
  • Conducting on-site incident response for network environments on short notice
  • Utilize tools such as Bro, Snort, GRR, RedSeal, Wireshark, and EnCase Enterprise/EnCase Endpoint Investigator
  • Utilize Splunk, ELK, or other log aggregators
  • Utilize Security Onion or Kali distributions, or other network traffic and file-system analysis tools
  • Identifies network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators
  • Ensures chain of custody and control procedures, documents procedures and findings in a manner suitable for courtroom presentation and prepares comprehensive written notes and reports
  • May be required to testify in court as expert witnesses
  • Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field and 9 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree and 7 years of relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in information security, network operations, or cyber security and defense
  • Experienced with Linux and Windows OS
  • CompTIA CTT+ and 8140/8570 IAT Level II required within six months of hiring
  • Experience performing memory, file-system, network, and log analysis to determine relevant artifacts and indicators of compromise on large networks
  • Strong skills implementing and configuring networks and network components
