Job Description

Cabling Logistics Technician

Boardman, OR
$13/hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm (potentially 5 hours of OT)

The Cabling Logistics Technician will be responsible for warehouse operations supporting the data center cabling team. These duties include, at a minimum, managing the physical warehouse space, conducting inventories and audits of stock levels, creating and submitting purchase request to maintain minimum stock levels, receiving/break-down/inventory/storage of good and materials, plucking materials, bundling project materials, preparing materials for shipment, scheduling shipments, coordinating delivery schedules across multiple regional destinations and other typical warehouse/logistics support duties.
 

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices Demonstrated positive work attitude & leadership skills 
  • Demonstrated ability to perform above minimum for extended periods of time Commitment to a culture of safety 
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) 
  • Commitment to a culture of safety 
  • Able to read and take direction in English 
  • Must be able to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances 
  • May participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more
  • Push or pull heavy objects into position
  • Must be able to work overtime as required
  • Preferred Skills

  • 2-4 years of logistics experience 
  • Material forecasting 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) 
  • Punctuality; excellent organizational skills for orderliness; and ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously to ensure department objectives are met 
  • Strong understanding of shipping & receiving, inventory and warehousing practices
  • Experience using metrics to perform analyses
