Job Description Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world’s leading global law firms with almost 4000 lawyers and staff in 30 offices is seeking a Docket Specialist. This position will reside in the Philadelphia, PA office and will be responsible for maintaining the Patent computerized docket system.


Accurately docket USPTO and foreign correspondence in CPI docketing system according to established procedures.
Review patent mailbox for incoming and outgoing email/faxes/mail and update CPI as required.
Monitor docket and provide call up services to attorneys, paralegals and legal staff to clear docket on a daily basis.
Assist with client intakes, including searching patent websites for data and updating CPI with the pertinent details.
Open, sort, stamp and log incoming mail.
Generate dockets and reports.
Open new case files.
Other duties as assigned.

High School diploma.
Bachelor’s degree (preferred).
Minimum of three (3) years of current IP docketing experience in a law firm environment.
Extensive knowledge of U.S., foreign and international patent laws as related to patent prosecution.
Solid working knowledge of CPI.
Searching skills using PAIR and foreign websites.
Analytical, organized, highly-motivated, proactive and detail oriented.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing competing demands and meeting various deadlines.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
