Responsible for servicing the catering and event needs of Group business booked by Hotel Sales, also handle Community Affairs and In-House events as required. Act as liaison between group contacts and Beau Rivage departments and staff.


  • Responsible for, but not limited to, servicing Group business and events. Tasks will include: create estimates and costs, creating menu proposals, conducting menu tastings, planning décor, participate in site visits and tours for future groups, on-site planning meetings if required.
  • Conduct meetings or calls with the client to fully detail each group’s events and communicate to operations for execution via means of Delphi/BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders), Group Resumes, forms specific to internal departments, pre-convention and internal meetings.
  • Coordinate/oversee exhibit companies and other outside services for group’s events.
  • Ensure all contract specifications are met and all billing details are secured.
  • Work closely with Sales Managers to ensure guest satisfaction.   
  • Work closely with Encore, banquets, culinary operations and other departments to ensure client’s needs are met and/or exceeded by the coordination of menus, staffing, and implementation of all group food & beverage events, including preparation and distribution of Banquet Events Orders (BEOs) for each function.
  • Collaborate with F & B/Banquet team to oversee event execution.
  • Maintain complete and in-depth files on all past groups and private parties as directed by departmental standards including updated information in Delphi.
  • Maintain relationships with past clients for future business opportunities. Maintain client communications in Delphi. It is the responsibility of the Catering-Conference Services Manager to use Delphi to keep in touch with clients through phone calls, emails, letters and personal meetings.
  • Practice and observes safety rules and regulations and encourages other to do the same. 
  • Attend, conduct and participate in BEO, departmental and Pre-convention meetings as required.
  • Meet and/or exceed personal and departmental revenue, customer service and other goals set by the company
  • Manage the delivery and measurement of guest service within assigned department(s) consistent with the company’s core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Provide input into the research, development, evaluation and implementation of new products, services, technology and processes to ensure Beau Rivage’s competitive position and in anticipation of changing guest needs within the dynamic hospitality and gaming environment.  Attends training to expand business and product knowledge and sales efficiencies.
  • Manage Human Resources responsibilities for direct report(s) and department(s) to include: creating a work environment that promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction; quality hiring, training and succession planning processes that encompass the company’s diversity commitment; adherence to the company’s status quo third party representation philosophy; compliance with company policies, legal requirements and collective bargaining agreements.  Promotes a pro-active work environment that creates an atmosphere of teamwork and quality service.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Business, Marketing/Sales, or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • At least five (5) years of experience in a busy catering/convention/group environment.
  • Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
  • Preferred:

  • Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language
  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting


  • Working knowledge of programs/catering sales systems such as Delphi, Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Union bargaining agreement (as required).
  • Knowledge of F&B/Banquet operations and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines with particular attention to details.
  • Able to work under pressure dealing with multiple work assignments and meeting deadlines, and to make decisions and work independently.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude and ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms.

  • Regular scheduled hours   (Work Days and Hours Varied)
  • Other – Must be flexible if needed for occasional work outside of normal business hours.
