Job Description


Kforce has a client in search of an ETL Developer in Stamford, Connecticut (CT).Summary:The ETL Developer will be responsible for the administration and development of ETL processes in support of analytics and reporting functions. ETL Administration includes automation, monitoring, and alerts for ETL processes. ETL development includes bringing data from various sources in support of the Enterprise Data Warehouse, or ad-hoc analytics. The developer will also be responsible for ensuring data integrity, and providing detailed documentation of developed processes.Responsibilities:
  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience
  • Responsible for the ongoing operation of the data warehouse and analytic environments to include advanced technical issues such as ETL performance tuning
  • Design extensions and enhancements and ability to enhance the schema and ETL process in order to provide functionality and performance
  • Manage data integrity and accuracy of the data warehouse data and analytic environments
  • Develop optimized SQL to implement ETL job steps using ETL tools such as Informatica
  • Monitor, diagnose, and repair all data loading and processing packages to ensure data integrity of the analysis data
  • Support ongoing user issues in the use of the systems
  • Communicate data warehouse and enhancements to the DBA from the requested analysis enhancements
  • Perform data profiling to insure efficient and accurate delivery of data
  • Job Requirements


    • BS degree in Information Technology; MBA, MIS or equivalent preferred
    • Database Administrator certification or equivalent knowledge
    • Informatica certification
    • Business Intelligence Developer certification or equivalent knowledge
    • Experience with training staff on the use of ETL tools
    • Experience with formal data warehouse architecture
    • Experience with business information reconciliation
    • Experience in Teradata or Oracle
    • Experience in developing Informatica, or other ETL tools
    • Experience in designing data warehouse schema from business requirements
    • Proficiency with UNIX/Linux shell scripts
    • Proficiency in SQL query development and performance
    • Fully trained on the operation of Informatica, or other ETL tools
    • Demonstrated skills with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
    • Proven ability and desire to learn and apply current technology to data analysis solutions
