Job Description


Kforce has a client seeking a Data Engineer in Austin, Texas (TX).Summary:The Data Engineer is responsible for wholesome review, Interpretation, analysis of collected data using SQL, statistical techniques such as MS Excel and data management systems to provide accurate & reliable reports to the company.Essential Functions:
  • Acquire data from internal data sources and external data sources; build a system to maintain databases/data systems
  • Develop a healthy data collection systems & sound strategies for getting quality data from different sources to use it to right place efficiently
  • Preparing presentations, conducting research on data pipelines and processes
  • Preparing various statistical reports on operational performance on monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Assist in the development of standards for different reports on data management systems, including ODS', Data Marts
  • Interact with clients to identify and document functional and business requirements, identify data sources information and data needs
  • Assists and provides counseling and advice to customers in determination of suitable analytical methodology to their business
  • Job Requirements


    • Deep knowledge and expertise of modeling data using SQL based technologies
    • Understands data warehousing solutions and database design and optimization principles
    • Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
    • Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks
    • Proficient understanding of Informatica with focus on ETL preferred, but not required
    • Experience with graph or NoSQL databases preferred, but not required
    • Experience with JIRA development tools preferred, but not required
