Support development of Network Infrastructure within Amazon web service (AWS) cloud environment to support the three-tier architecture design of the application development. Work closely with the solutions architect. Create application instances in AWS DEV, TEST, VAL and PROD environments and deploy application packages in all the environments. Design for incremental changes required through Development and O&M.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Create Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and configure the VPC by modifying its IP address range, create subnets, and configure route tables, network gateways, and security settings
  • Create security groups and add rules to limit traffic on the required instances
  • Assist the development team for code deployments
  • Assist the database developers to migrate data from on-premise servers to cloud RDS instances
  • Participate and provide support in the release management process
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in cloud integrations
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on AWS and systems engineering
  • Be responsible for infrastructure planning, scaling and monitoring process implementation
  • Educate teams on technical and workflow considerations of AWS adoption
  • Be responsible for CI/CD implementation using SCM tools
  • Implement different components of infrastructure (Monitoring, Logs Management, Consolidation tools etc.)

  • You should know that it takes some time to adjust to the pace of this intense, high performance environment. You'll need to navigate a variety of complex systems and teams. You'll also need to be rigorous in your approach to formalized development processes and systems security.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Computer Science degree or bachelor’s Degree in a related major
  • Building strong customer relationships through agile team(s) and personal performance
  • AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • 5+ years of experience with:

  • Deployment & Management (Jenkins, Cloud formation)
  • Compute & Networking (EC2, VPN, AMI, RDS, S3, Direct Connect, Route 53, DynamoDB/Redshift)
  • Amazon ECS, CloudWatch, Gateway (NAT)
  • Administration of tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Sonarqube, Gerrit, GitHub, Jenkins
  • Implementation knowledge of engineering practices across the phases of SDL

  • Working experience with Cloud Computing Models – IaaS, PaaS, SaaS
  • Master in Understanding Public and Private Clouds – On-premise Private Cloud, Externally-Hosted Private Cloud
  • Specialist with AWS deployment experience using scripts (specifically using AWS CLI)
  • Hands-on experience in Linux administration to troubleshoot issues, optimize the solutions and create RCA
  • Experience working in Center for Medicaid and Medicare (CMS) projects.
  • Collaborating in a multiple contractor environment
  • Exceptionally effective communication skills, verbal and written

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working closely with software development teams and understanding and adherence to basic software practices such as coding standards and configuration management is desired
  • Proficient in MS Project, MS Word, and MS Excel
