Robert Half Finance currently has a vacancy for a full-time Senior Accountant to bring their leadership skills and experience to a growing finance team in the Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. We are seeking an individual with exemplary analytical skills who enjoys working in a challenging and fast-paced work environment in order to support the continued success of the company. Key responsibilities - Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks) - Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required - Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP - Prepare monthly consolidated P L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting - Partake in various department-wide initiatives - Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process - Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary - Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Job Requirements- BA/BS in Accounting - Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines - Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills - Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment - Able to manage time well - 3+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally within dealership industry - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Skilled with ERP systems - Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to exercise good judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis - Deep understanding of internal controls - Financial statement preparation experience - Account reconciliation experience - Fixed assets experience
