Quality Control Technician, Greensboro, NCShift Information:Mpnday-Friday 8am-5pmKelly Services is currently seeking a Quality Control Technician. You will be working on site for a leader in the chemical industry on a long-term contract assignment that will last until approximately May 2018.Shift Information:Monday-Friday 8am-5pmThe selected candidate will be working in the Quality Control Laboratory performing testing on raw materials and finished products responsible for entering test results into LIMS and/or SAP software systems and be capable of performing testing throughout the lab s multi-functions.Job Duties:Timely testing of final products, raw materials, intermediates and requests submitted. Dispose of all lab waste materials in accordance with site safety policies Follow detailed procedures for testing and other QC documentation to ensure company standards are being followed. Performs numerous routine QC duties, including special testing projects for other departments or customers. Perform Laboratory equipment verifications and calibrations to ensure accurate operation. Conduct re-tests, as necessary, when test results are out of specification or atypical to determine exact properties of the sample. Will be using microbial and microbial contamination tests and gas chromatic and viscosity measurements on a wide variety of products including beauty care products. Will be performing gas chromatography mass spectrometry.Troubleshoot any out of specification on products or equipment. Record test results into LIMS/Sample Manager and SAP. Complete additional assignments per the direction of lab team leaderRequirements:High school diploma/GED plus two years of college or equivalent in a technical field or 2 years QC related work experience. Solid math skills and proficient in computer programs with the ability to learn new systems as necessary. Experience with Microsoft Excel, Office, Outlook and SAP preferred.Good interpersonal skills. Need to be able to work well within a team and have good personal communication skill verbal and written. Self-motivated and flexible. Ability to work independently and prioritize work activities, as well as being able to switch to other tasks at short notice when required. Good trouble shooting skills Ability to work on multiple testing lines, without compromising safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
