Job Description Computer Task Group is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to work a 9 month contract position working onsite at their client's location in Lexington, KY.


Designs and oversees the plant or manufacturing systems, fabrication, installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, production machinery, and other material-handling equipment used in fabrication, assembly, and other production functions; analyzes engineering sketches, specifications and related data, and drawings to determine design factors such as size, shape, and arrangement of parts; oversees the construction of machine and subassemblies considering such specifications as gear ratios, bearing loads, and direction of moving parts; compiles and analyzes test data to determine effect of design on machines in relation to factors such as temperature, pressures, speed, horsepower, and fuel consumption.


• Familiarity with ANSI/ASMEY14.100 or similar design and drafting standards • Experience with Catia V5 or similar 3D parametric modeling and drafting • Perform detailed drawing checks and be responsible for completion of production ready drawings • Ability to work under little or no direct supervision • Demonstrated previous success working in a team based environment to meet objectives • Active DoD secret clearance


• Any familiarity with C-130 aircraft, specifically C-130J • Air Force or DoD experience • Experience or familiarity with engineering change documentation • Experience with Teamcenter PLM software
