Job Description


Kforce is currently working with a client in the Milwaukee, WI area who is looking to add an Accounting Supervisor to their team. This is a family owned company that offers a great team oriented culture and family dynamic. The future plan is to have this newly created Accounting Supervisor position move into the Controller role.Within this Accounting Supervisor role, the candidate will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Prepare and post general ledger journal entries and reconcile bank balances with the general ledger
  • Create spreadsheet software programs and routines, which prepare accounting journal entries, perform analysis, and automate manual accounting operations
  • Prepare and maintain the general ledger chart of accounts and financial statements
  • Prepare and post accounts receivable transactions, prepare cash receipt forecast reports and assist in the collection of unpaid invoices
  • Transmit payroll and record labor hours, review related payroll allocations, deductions and taxes
  • Record distribution of labor hours and dollars and reconcile with the company payroll and ERP systems
  • Prepare various statistical reports dealing with company operations and key performance indicators
  • Assist in the preparation of annual operating budgets, forecasts and financial planning activities
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist auditors who perform, financial, tax, and worker's compensation audits

    Job Requirements


    • Bachelor's in Accounting required; CPA or MBA preferred
    • 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting and control procedures, knowledge of accounting principles and accounting software
