Job Responsibilities                                             

Your specific duties as an Electrical Engineer will include:  

  • Responsible for design, development, & validation of existing and next-generation automotive cellular connectivity / information products
  • Author complex functional specifications at component and sub-system level
  • Works with other engineering groups and divisions to fully understand vehicle communication interfaces and translate them into component requirements for successful embedded module development.
  • Develops full features design verification plans including corner cases.
  • Develop in-vehicle hardware, subsystem interface specifications, and feature / function hardware specifications
  • Responsible for developing common, efficient and flexible OTA communication protocol between the vehicle and the cloud
  • Responsible for managing Tier1 automotive supplier thru design direction, technology roadmap and implementation details

    Job Requirements

    As an Electrical Engineer you must represent our company well by being responsible, punctual and motivated to go above and beyond the call of duty. You must also be highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

  • BS Engineering Discipline related to job responsibilities.
  • Thorough understanding of cellular networks (BSC,MSC, VLR,HLR, PSTN, ISDN, AuC,GMSC etc) Base Station message traffic debugging.
  • Thorough understanding of Vehicle CAN/LIN communication buses.
  • Knowledge of wireless cellular protocols : GPRS, EDGE, UMTS,HSPA, HSPA+, LTE
  • Knowledge of software tools : QXDM, QPST - Knowledge of Network Simulators : CMU-200, CMW-500
  • Thorough understanding of embedded module architecture: Microcontrollers, SoC, Flash, RAM, device drivers etc.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle to cloud connectivity: APN, VPN, TCP/IP stack etc.
  • Ability to analyze complex problems thru proper engineering disciplines
  • Detailed understanding of configuration and software reflash thru OTA reflash mechanisms.
  • Ability to work with larger team on time sensitive issues in high stress environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks on hand by evaluating long term implications.
