Job Description

Ensure that all revenue is properly recorded, collected and all goals met. In-service, train and measure employees to achieve maximum level of expertise. Run day to day operation of the Regional Billing and Collections Office.

Ensure the collections of services performed and goals met through use of internal reports and systems

Monitor adjustments and denials and correct if necessary. Make necessary changes to payor codes and price tables. Train employees to know the difference between a price table issue and a percent issue. Improve work procedures and expedites workflow

Monitor and maintain all payor relationships assuring all state, federal and local government billing requirements are met and update any and all billing requirements. Supervise employees in Cash Application, Data Entry, Medicare, Customer Pay and Private Insurance Departments.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY - Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
