The wound care nurse utilizes his/her professional specialized nursing knowledge to coordinate, direct and provide comprehensive quality patient care to the specific patient population requiring enterostomal wound care management needs and interventions. Provide patient, family, and staff education regarding prevention of pressure wounds, dressing selection and adjunctive therapy.

Current RN license to practice in North Carolina.
Math Ability: Ability to perform basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills: Knowledge of basic computer skills and word processing.
Certificates and Licenses: Current RN license to practice in North Carolina. Maintains current BLS certification.
