Job Requirements
  • Currently licensed as a physician to practice medicine and at no time has been excluded from participation in any federally funded health care program, including Medicare or Medicaid, or sanctioned under any applicable state or federal fraud and abuse statutes
  • Hospice Medical Director Board Certified (required)
  • Current DEA license
  • 5 years prior experience as Hospice Medical Director preferred
  • Maintains all necessary qualifications, certifications, licenses and/or accreditations required by federal, state and local laws and regulations required as a Medical Director
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR system
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Must be a licensed driver with 24-hour access to a reliable automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements
  • Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
  • Must be able to travel 50% of time
  • Administrative experience in decision making and implementation of policies and procedures related to patient care
  • Effective in communication with patient, family, team members, and other health care professionals
  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality regarding patient and company proprietary information
  • Ability to relate professionally and positively and work cooperatively with other employees at all levels
  • Must possess computer skills of the types and at a level necessary to accomplish the job
