The Covanta Environmental Solutions (CES) sales team is looking to expand and hire a Solutions Sales Manager for Eastern PA that will sell into both Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facilities and the expanding portfolio of Material Processing Facilities (MPF).  The successful candidate will develop relationships with prospective and existing waste generators and sell the CES industrial waste, assured destruction, zero landfill, and other environmental services for the assigned geography, customers and facilities.  The candidate will coordinate with the Customer Service and Waste Approval teams to ensure all aspects of existing accounts are efficiently and effectively managed.  The candidate will work closely with the Sales Director and other Sales Managers to facilitate the sales process

Responsibilities include:
  • Expand existing business volumes into EfW facilities
  • Identify opportunities to sell additional service (on site work) offerings to existing clients
  • Grow New Business – Identify and develop new business opportunities to grow non-hazardous industrial waste revenues for CES.
  • Sales and Administrative Processes – Will follow established protocols regarding contracts, credit, pricing, procedures, documentation and support monthly closing/ forecasting efforts.
  • Will perform other duties as required.
  • Position Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Sales preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’experience in customer service/account management in the Hazardous or Non-hazardous waste and environmental services industry.
  • Ability to easily communicate the needs of the Covanta waste approval and facility operations processes to clients.
  • Ability to communicate the CES value proposition across all levels of the client organization.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated and technical industry.
  • Willingness to Travel – mostly within region, currently estimated at about 25%.
