What You Will Be Doing

- Hands on analysis of plastics process including machine, material, and human interface through direct observation and statistical analysis
- Use DOE and troubleshooting methodology to analyze and suggest manufacturing process improvements
- Oversee the integration of newly developed processes and equipment into the current manufacturing process, evaluate results and ensure improvements in manufacturing are maintained
- Support manufacturing with production related matters including day to day troubleshooting
- Develop and execute validation protocols
- Process development and continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance to standards and conduct audits
- Recommend cost saving initiatives
- Identify and implement appropriate manufacturing methods
- Lead project teams
- Develop and manage work instructions, workmanship standards, process documents, and ensure compliance
- Continuously improve the existing operation for increased quality, productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction
- Investigate, report, and recommend solutions to operational problems affecting production
- Provide manufacturing data (i.e. production control charts, reliability, process capability) to improve the process
- Monitor, measure, and report project progress to target

Qualifications:

- Experience as a Plastics Process Engineer
- Familiarity and experience with Plastic Products
- Knowledge of Process Improvements
- Experience with Mold Process Development
- Experience with Film Extrusion
- Experience with Web processing
- Experience with Polyethylene Processing
- Experience with Plastic Fabrication Technologies
- Experience with Adhesives | Bonding
- Experience with Plastic Polymers
