Accelerate your nursing career byjoining our Specialty Training Apprenticeship for Registered Nurses (StarN)program!  We invite new graduate registerednurses to apply for a unique opportunity to be given didactic and clinicaltraining in Medical/Surgical and Critical Care units at Eastern Idaho RegionalMedical Center. This program will allow new graduates to obtain specificexperience through an intensive 14-16 week paid internship program at EIRMC. 
As an RN in our StarN program,you receive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skilland knowledge you'll need to become the highest caliber nurse.  You willhave the opportunity to be mentored by the best, most highly educated andtrained nurses within our facilities. During the StaRN program, you willwork with instructors to complete class assignments, skills training, exercisesand relevant testing. Then, you will work with your preceptor during thepreceptorship that follows.

Program Schedule:
First 7 weeks: Monday-Friday, Days, with intermittent home study days
Remainder of the program: Preceptorship: 3 - 12 hours shifts, Rotating Shifts
Job Requirements
  • Applicants may apply for the program prior to passing the NCLEX exam
  • Self-motivated and strong communication skills required
  • Acceptance into the program requires a two year commitment to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center
