Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for the collection of data/information to be used in the inititial assessment, reassessment, assistance with revising the treatment plan, and implementation of nursing care of assigned patients.
Responsible for administering medications and treatments.
Utilizes knowledge and skills related to the developmental stages of adults and the specific needs of the geriatric population.
Utilizes cultural, spiritual and social groups and their relationship to the deliverance and acceptance of healthcare.
Makes daily rounds on all patients to collect data to be used in the assessment process; makes rounds more often as directed by the Registered Nurse.
Is fully aware of suicide, homicide, elopement, and seizure precautions.
Utilizes knowledge and skills related to developmental stages of adults with special emphasis on geriatrics.
Assesses pain to include past complaints and current complaints. Utilizes pain scale and assesses patient's response to intervention. Reassesses pain on a daily basis.
Assumes teaching and care of patients assigned under the supervision of the Registered Nurse.
