The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst’s role is to plan, design, and implement procedures to ensure that all information system products and services meet minimum company standards and end-user requirements. The analyst thoroughly tests software to ensure proper operation and that it is free from defects. All problems need to be documented prior to working to resolve the issues. Progress reports on problem resolution are sent to management. The incumbent creates improvements to current procedures and develops models of possible future configurations. Adherence to process standards needs to be monitored. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst performs work analysis and recommends quality improvements. Another important function of this role is to develop automated test procedures and review or recommend QA automated test platforms to management.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a computer science related field
  • Seven years of previous work experience in a similar role that required design, development or implementation of quality assurance processes, practices and standards for software testing
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
  • Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • Attention to detail and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of business system technologies that support operations
  • Experience with a wide array of test tools and methodologies
  • Customer-service experience
  • Understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
  • Ability to conduct research into system and product issues
  • Flexible - can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines
  • Decisive problem-solving ability and capability to assess people and situations with accuracy
  • Confident self-starter with integrity and accountability
  • Team player and the ability to work collaboratively with others from all areas of Valmont

  • Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Ten years of previous work experience in a similar role that required design, development or implementation of quality assurance processes, practices and standards for software testing
  • Excellent mathematical and creative problem-solving skills
  • A strong understanding of scrum and its roles within agile methodology
  • Project management experience within an agile environment
