Our Dover Casting division is a world-class supplier of complex, investment-cast turbine airfoils and other components for the aircraft engine and industrial gas turbine industries. Our Dover Alloy division supplies vacuum and air-melted nickel- and cobalt-based superalloys to internal and external customers.
Our Dover, New Jersey Casting Operation has an immediate need for an Afternoon/Evening Shift (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM) Group Leader for our Wax Assembly department.

The Group Leader is responsible for troubleshooting and communicating shift updates and issues to supervision. Responsible for training and assisting operators in the department, scheduling labor and participating/leading continuous improvement projects.

  • Expected to assist in the implementation of EHS Values and policy statements and accompanying principals.
  • Comply with all department, facility, corporate and regulatory EHS regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Report all job related illness and injuries (Per Employee Handbook).
  • Report all safety, health and environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Attend all EHS training.

  • Responsible for scheduling work for department
  • Support and promote an atmosphere where ideas are welcomed and supported utilizing IPM\\IPC methodology
  • Recognize and communicate concerns to manager/supervisor
  • Resolve and assist with implementing improvements towards quality and cost
  • Coordinate with Production Planner and other supervisors to ensure customer schedules are met
  • Ensure that productivity standards are maintained or improved as well as maintaining quality standards.
  • Consistently enforce company policies and procedures
  • Ensure effective and ongoing training
  • Participate in the formal performance appraisals of employees assigned to shift
  • Act as a change agent/leader for new initiation in department
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
  • As part of training, must learn operation to the department assigned.
  • Expected to work overtime (daily or weekends) as required
  • Frequent communication and planning with other departments such as engineering, quality and production control.

    This position has anywhere from 3-30 people reporting to them daily.

  • The group leader operates in both office and manufacturing environments

  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.

  • Prefer supervisory experience and strong knowledge of department operational and working procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Seminars and training in supervision, communications and ongoing improvement programs.
