Job Requirements

As our Project Manager, Global Supply Chain, working at World Headquarters in Tinley Park, Illinois, you will report to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Operations, and take ownership of coordinating supply and demand for our customer-specific orders (make-to-stock orders, build-to-order and configure-to-order.) In addition, you will for manage and develop key performance metrics, analyze data, and work on process improvement projects to improve metrics and lower overhead. You will interact internally with sales, manufacturing, finance, logistics, and the sourcing team, and present recommendations and findings to executive management. You will work with customers to establish successful relationships and ensure on-time order fulfillment for their projects, balancing customer needs with cost to serve. Your methodical project management, problem-solving, and process development skills will fit well within our data-driven, solution-based environment. Initially you will be an individual contributor, with the possibility for team leadership or management in the future. You will have room to grow in this role within our collaborative, cross-functional organization.

The ideal Project Manager, Global Supply Chain will have three to five years of experience in an analytical or project management role involving the full supply chain management lifecycle, and will excel at influencing cross-functional teams in a highly-matrixed global organization. Process development and process improvement, along with strong business acumen, effective negotiation skills, and customer-facing experience are essential for success. You will be an excellent presenter, comfortable speaking to executive management and to all levels of stakeholders. A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in supply chain management, business, operations management, or another relevant discipline. An MBA is preferred. Global experience is preferred. You will have experience with an enterprise level ERP system (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and are facile with CRM systems. Business Objects experience is desirable. Certification from APICS (CPIM, CPM, or CSCP, for example) would be beneficial. PMI certification as a PMP is desirable but not required. This is an individual contributor role within a fast-paced, growing segment of our business.
