Job Description JOB DESCRIPTION: Under guidance from the Maintenance Supervisor/Manager, aids in the continuous operations in all areas of the plant by ensuring the facility, plant machinery and plant equipment is properly serviced, maintained and operational.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


-Ensure smooth continuing operations through the maintenance of all machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive, predictive and unscheduled maintenance as required


-Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using basic and advanced knowledge, technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics, precision measuring and testing instruments; properly repair equipment accordingly


-Prefer individual with strong Programmable Logic Controller skills with ability to program, troubleshoot programs and modify programs.


-Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance


-Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment


-Maintain equipment, parts, and inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts and supplies; placing and expediting orders when needed


-Install and modify equipment as needed

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK: This is a full time position. Days and hours may vary depending on the shift and season. Normal work days are typically Monday – Friday. 1st shift hours may begin as early as 5:00 am and end as late as 5:00 pm, 2nd shift may begin as early as 3:00 pm and end as late as 3:00 am, 3rd shift may start as early as 11:00 pm and end as late as 11:00 am.
