Water Laboratory Technician (Lead)- Huntington, Utah Every day Kelly Scientific Resources (KSR) connects scientific professionals with opportunities to advance their careers.  We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Water Laboratory Technician for one of our top clients in the Huntington, Utah, who focuses on water analysis.  Summary: The position is responsible for overseeing and performing water analysis according to NELAC/TNI approved SOPs.Responsibilities: 

  • Prior experience in the operation of ICAP instrumentation, Ion Chromatography or ICP testing 
  • Oversight and the performance following tests:
  • pH, DO, SS, TDS, TSS, Ammonia, Mercury, Oil &Grease
  • Trace Metals by ICAP (total and dissolved),
  • Inorganic anions by Ion Chromatography (IC)
  • Total Phosphorus, Conductivity, Acidity and Alkalinity
  • Perform all required testing on several different types of water
  • Accurately complete and maintain all laboratory reports
  • Perform general upkeep and housekeeping of the laboratory
  • Assist in all other laboratory assignments and projects
  • QC Charting; Equipment Maintenance
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in science (chemistry preferred)
  • Prior laboratory experience using ICAP and IC instrumentation
  • Aptitude for basic math concepts and report preparation
  • Must have the ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check prior to employment
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and oral) presenting information
  • individually or in small group situations to internal or external customers
  • Ability to execute detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
  • situations
  • Ability to follow directions ensuring the end results are accurate and completed with the required timeframe
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
