Job Description

AIRGAS USA – LLC an Air Liquide company is a leading distributor of industrial gas and welding supplies.  We currently have an immediate opening for a DIRECTOR OF SALES (Life Science/Healthcare) to join our team in Tulsa, OK.

 

 

SUMMARY

Develops in conjunction with Airgas Inc., Life Science - Healthcare team and Regional Company management the Life Science - Healthcare Business Plan for the Mid South Region. Responsible for the implementation of the Regional Business Plan and coordinates the efforts of each Branch within the Region to meet the established Plan. Directs the activities of Area Medical Specialists and Sales within a Regional territory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Directs the selection, training and motivation of Area Medical Specialists to meet sales forecasts; P&L targets including revenue, gross margin and EBITDA; quality; safety and other operational objectives.
  2. Manages  Life Science – Healthcare (Medical Sales)  for the region
  3. Administers corporate and regulatory policies and business strategies as they relate to Medical sales.
  4. Maintains awareness of market trends and anticipates possible business opportunities and threats.
  5. Directs the development of sales opportunities to drive business expansion.
  6. Through Sales and Branch management, assures that all subordinates are trained and follow all procedures related to their jobs affecting product quality or service provided to our customers. Ensures that changes to procedures are reviewed, approved and validated prior to implementation.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Carries out supervisory responsibilities for all Area Bulk / Medical Sales Personnel, in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
  2. Responsibilities include directing employee selection, training and discipline. Planning, assigning and directing work. Appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year College or university, and 3 years related experience in medical, hospital or home care including previous management experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Access.
  • Experience in Packaged and Bulk Medical Gas Sales required.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must maintain a valid driver license.
