Loyal Source Government Services is looking for a qualified Echo Technologist in Albuquerque, NM to work as a civilian contractor promoting and restoring patients’ health.   • Must have experience with the SC2000 

  • Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Echo Sonographer and be able to provide accurate and high quality sonography on patients with complex medical problems.
  • At least 1 year of experience must have been within the past 3 years.
  • Must have current ARDMS Certification.
  • Must have a full and unrestricted license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Must have current BLS Certification.
  • Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
  • Must be familiar with personal computers.
  • Must have adequate typing skills to perform data entry (progress notes and encounters), and be able to navigate through windows based computer programs.
  • Echocardiograph and sonography services for inpatients and outpatients who require diagnostic evaluation for cardiac disease and abnormalities.  The contractor is expected to be able to complete full, quality transthoracic echo, transesophageal echo, and stress and dobutamine stress echo’s.  The Service Chief, Cardiology, or designee, will provide the work assignments and will provide clinical direction.
  • Shall be required to work cooperatively with Cardiologists, internal medicine physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and a variety of allied health professionals to deliver echocardiography services to adult patients.
  • Must be clinically competent in obtaining high quality diagnostic images, provide accurate information, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Majority of the work time will involve accurately completing patient scanning at the patient’s bedside.
  • Must complete required ECHO test reports upon completion of study. The test reports shall be made available to the VA Cardiologist for interpretation.  The ECHO Technician is required to complete daily service documentation such as: patient encounters, Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) documentation, and daily workload/productivity data.
