Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a seeking a full-time Hydrogeological or Environmental Engineer for our Helena, MT office. 

You will provide water treatment and other civil design expertise on various environmental related projects. Project design and oversight support tasks may involve hazardous waste remediation, water treatment, abandoned mine reclamation, and environmental review and analysis. Work products will require technical input that is high quality, detailed-oriented, and innovative. Quality technical writing, and timely and efficient work is expected. May manage staff affiliated with specific projects.

Job Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years’ experience working on water treatment and environmental engineering. Hydrogeological or hydrological engineering experience preferred. Project management, technical writing experience, and design document authorship is required. Experience with AutoCad Civil 3D 2015 and/or ArcGIS 10.1 is preferred.

Candidate must be highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment. Must also have the ability to travel across the State and the Nation as needed. Excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel required.

Bachelor degree in an Engineering discipline and a professional engineering license is required. A current 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER certificate is also preferred

This position requires you to drive on a regular basis and will require passing a motor vehicle record (MVR) background check.

Lifting instruments and equipment up to 50 pounds, climbing up steep slopes and other difficult terrain, and work outside in extreme cold and heat and other hard conditions may be required. A valid current driver’s license to travel to and from job sites is required. Air travel to field project sites outside Montana may be required.
