In the field of (Engineering) in (Northville, MI), we are looking for you to strengthen our team as soon as possible as an (Advanced Development Engineer).



SUMMARY: 
Coordinates planning, develops, and validates new thermal comfort product opportunities within the Engineering group as defined in our company strategy. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

  • Ensure that brand new product or process related to advanced blowers and thermoelectric devices are designed within various industry standards according to applicable specification in a safe, cost efficient and timely manner while following the PCP process
  • Provide technical expertise in airflow, and acoustics
  • Develop blower geometry to meet air flow and noise requirements
  • Work closely with internal and external component suppliers to ensure technical requirements are met on time and within cost targets.
  • Create and maintain DFMEA, DVP&R, BOM, GD&T and drawings. 
  • Initiate, review and release drawings, specs and parts.
  • Ensure functional and safe prototypes.
  • Act as a technical liaison between customer, and Gentherm internal
  • Reviews manufacturing and industrial engineering related documentation for new and existing product
  • PREFERED EXPERIENCE

  • Aerodynamics Design related to Fans and/or Blowers
  • Air Flow Measurements and Analysis
  • Acoustics and Vibration Measurements and Analysis
  • Thermal Measurements and Analysis
  • Knowledge on Magnetic and Electric Circuits
  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

    Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree/experience.  3-6 years’ experience required.
