Job Description Essential Function/Duties:
Coordinates, develops and implements day-to-day activities to support the BMT medical service line.  Conducts pharmacy in-services for pharmacy staff, physicians and nursing staff when appropriate.  Participate as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents on clinical rotations from the various programs. Coordinates and develops drug protocols and drug monographs for Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee; performs the necessary quality assurance audits for these protocols.  Develops policy and procedures related to BMT and Oncology.  
Based on specific assignment, incumbent will perform all or part of the duties listed below:
  • Provide medication reconciliation and discharge counseling to BMT patients
  • Provide education and pharmacy services to the BMT services
  • Establish staff development to elevate staff competence

  • Job Requirements  Minimum Qualifications:
           Education:  Graduate of an accredited pharmacy degree program (Bachelor of Science or Pharm.D.) Completion of Oncology PGY2/pharmacy residency or fellowship or equivalent years of experience.
           Experience:  One (1) year experience as a clinical Pharmacist in an acute care hospital setting.  Additional experience may be required based on specific assignment.
           Licensure: Licensure as a Doctor of Pharmacy (D. Ph) by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy. Certificate as a preceptor by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy when eligible.  Specialty BCOP (Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist) certification preferred when eligible.
