  • This position supports our Quote to Cash business process
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a collaborative, team environment to achieve goals.
  • Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts, business processes and commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
  • Consistently demonstrate an eagerness to meet challenges with a self-starting attitude (can-do spirit).
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with customers, vendors, and others related to the company; promote and maintain the identity and reputation of BSE, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing problems and complaints as they arise.
  • Consistently provide quality service to meet and exceed customer expectations while demonstrating patience in a customer service/support role.
  • Adhere to Border States Electric SDLC best practice guidelines and application change management procedure.
  • Execute plans to deliver results. Ability to work under pressure to resolve time sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills individually and in group situations in order to address system and process issues that arise in the business areas.
  • Basic understanding of relational databases and client-server concepts and commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field.
  • With assistance, collaborate with business, development and other analyst teams to write technical and functional documentation to describe program development, logic, coding, and corrections. Including end user documentation (training) to describe new or enhanced functionality.
  • With assistance, review, analyze, modify, write and/or execute thorough change request test plans and checklists to ensure that business system changes are working properly, existing processes remain unaffected and the needs of the users are met.
  • Provide input on the development of best practices for the IT organization. Effectively communicate the systems processes and procedures to the organization. Communicate best practices across area of responsibility and participates in continuous improvement of IT processes. Buildsa stainable internal/external network that provides access to information and resources.
  • Participate in internal and external application / best practice / lunch and learn topic related training in correlation with job duties. Assist department staff with technical issues related to the use of our business applications Perform off-hours support as needed. Provide support by assisting Tier 2 when needed and as Tier 3 of the IT Helpdesk.
  • This position requires the ability to lift over 20 lbs. on an occasional basis, and/or move up to 0 - 20 lbs. on a constant basis. This position may require frequent standing and/or walking and or constant sitting. These physical requirements must be met with or without accommodation.

  • Qualifications

  • 4 Year STEM Degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience. Communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences (technical and non-technical), and in a wide range of settings (e.g., one-on-one, small group, in person, conference calls and via e-mail). Familiarity with related languages including but not limited to SQL, ABAP, Java and .Net is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills are preferred with the ability to effectively plan and organize. Ability to read, write and speak in English required. Good working knowledge of PC, Windows, Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and PowerPoint), Internet, and Outlook. SAP experience preferred. Excellent customer service skills include being courteous, responsive, accurate and competent.
