JDE World Programmer/ JDE World Analyst

The JDE World Programmer/ Analyst position provides consulting, analysis, and, problem solving services to the user community for JD Edwards World Software. This includes working with the user community to develop and execute plans to support the achievement of company goals. JDE World Programmer/ Analyst position applies proven communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. This position, along with all positions in the company, will play an active role in the companys Lean initiatives

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES for the JDE World Programmer/ Analyst:
Modify / maintain existing World programs in order to function as required for the user or business unit.
Provide support for J.D. Edwards World to the user community for general day-to-day problem resolution.
Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications to support company objectives. Focus is on, but not limited, to J.D Edwards World and the Trimble/PeopleNet processes.
Adhere to department documentation standards
Provide program documentation and a best practices procedure for any new programs or procedures
Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications verbally or through written documentation to management, peers, staff and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
Provide project management expertise on project assigned to me by management.

QUALIFICATIONS for the JDE World Programmer/ Analyst:
3 -5 years RPG programming experience.
Previous experience with J.D. Edwards World Software preferred.
Previous experience with the IBM I Series preferred.
Knowledge of handheld technology, Trimble/PeopleNet software and Intermec devices preferred.
Bachelor Degree in business related area or Computer Science preferred.
3+ years experience as a JDE World Programmer/ Analyst preferred.
Demonstrated project management skills
Intermediate level of knowledge with MS Office and Outlook.
