Established Global Solar Construction Company is seeking a Contracts Administration Manager for their corporate offices in Irvine, Ca

The Contract Manager/Paralegal is responsible for coordinating the drafting, evaluation, and execution of contracts in the construction division of the EPC department. This position will act as a liaison between the Company and its customers, including participation in pre-contract discussions, contract negotiation, and complex contract changes. This position reports to and will work directly with Senior Legal Counsel, or another senior management personnel that the President of the Company may designate. This position is located in Irvine, California. We are looking for candidates with either contract management or paralegal experience. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review, interpret, and assist with negotiations of contract documents to determine contractual obligations, including governmental regulations, company contracting guidelines, and other contracting requirements with necessary stakeholders;
  • Monitor company performance for conformance to contractual baseline and maintains continual review to ensure that contractual obligations are met;
  • Ensure contract compliance, including subcontractor insurance compliance;
  • Receive compliance, progress, schedules, status reports, invoices, and supporting documents in a timely manner;
  • Investigate change requests against contract terms and assumptions;
  • Develop responses to formal customer and contractor claims and requested actions;
  • Help resolve complex issues, such as pricing disputes, change orders, deployment issues, and performance enhancement initiatives;
  • Drive contract execution process, including assemble subcontract agreements and exhibits, and obtain signature from authorized signatories;
  • Protect the Company���s interests by mitigating risk, and provide guidance to the team regarding contract requirements and terms;
  • Administer the preparation and dissemination of information throughout the company regarding contract progress, status, compliance, modification, deviation, payment, negotiation, completion, and termination;
  • Audit files, contracts, and other projects;
  • Maintain subcontractor insurance database;
  • Manage, organize, and maintain contracts and files in; and
  • All other duties as assigned by the Senior Counsel.

  • Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited university;
  • Paralegal certification preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience or equivalent in contract management or paralegal work required;
  • A demonstrated background of legal, business, regulatory, and programmatic aspects of prime and subcontract management helpful;
  • Experience working with subcontractor agreements in the procurement department;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, computer fluency, agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations required;
  • Strong organization and time management skills required;
  • Ability to manage a high volume of concurrent change orders and prioritize accordingly in accordance with business expectations is crucial;
  • Work experience in construction-related contracts (solar PV projects in particularly) strongly preferred;
  • Assertive, ability to cope with dynamic surroundings;
  • The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities; and
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
