The Senior Finance Analyst will assist the BAMS Finance and Sales teams with financial planning, reporting and analysis. Responsible for pricing, building business cases and determining merchant profitability, along with helping set pricing strategy. This position will have typical monthly duties assigned; however the expectation is that the individual will also display initiative in identifying and fulfilling other value-added departmental needs. The SR Finance Analyst will be a key member of the Finance Team and instrumental in delivering timely, relevant, high quality information to senior management.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepare business cases for new opportunities, existing business renewals and new product introductions.
  • Access the company’s proprietary revenue and profitability systems to reconcile existing merchants with the impacts from their renewals.
  • Price various products offered by BAMS including Acquiring (domestic, Canadian and international), Equipment, Premium Prepaid, TransArmor, DCC, etc.
  • Participate in the development of strategies related to new markets.
  • Partner with Product Management to stay abreast of BAMS product offerings (including in-service projects), understanding wholesale costs and MSRP, as well as setting BAMS retail pricing.
  • Participate in discussion and release trainings related to new fees and incorporate information into documents and tools; including Fee Schedules, MSA, SCA, MPA worksheets, boarding tools, Acquiring pricing tools, etc.
  • Support various departments and Ad Hoc reporting, as well as financial/accounting requirements. Work through special projects and additional responsibilities and duties as assigned.
  • Scope:

  • This position is responsible for building business cases, pricing and determining merchant profitability. Will also help set pricing strategy and need an understanding of the evolving marketplace. The Senior Finance Analyst will work with associates to gather necessary data and create summarize output for upper management review and also participate in deal discussions with upper management. The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for keeping the Excel pricing tools up-to-date with Compliance, Product, and changes as needed. It is essential to be able to handle multiply pressing demands while working on several concurrent deals.
  •  Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 6 to 10 years of experience in financial and business analysis.
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong sense of initiative and drive.
  • Ability to demonstrate personal accountability, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to create financial models to assist with forecast and analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member.
  • Detail oriented and deadline driven.
  • Applied knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Skills:

  • M.B.A. or Master’s Level Degree.
  • Prior responsibilities assembling complex business cases with numerous products for presentation to Senior Management.
  • Experience with preparing and presenting yearly budgeting information and monthly forecasting, as well as providing detailed reports and project information.
  • Prior assistance with ongoing financial closeout processes including in-service projects and package completion.
  • Ability to handle multiple deals concurrently.
  • Ability to comprehend high level requests and translate the information into the detail needed to provide accurate analysis.
  • Merchant Services industry knowledge.
  • Ability to interface with BAMS senior and executive management.
  • Ability to present complex information in a simple format.
  • Ability to be diplomatic in a time sensitive environment.
  • Tools:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite ProductsPhysical Requirements
