Job Description The largest medical facility in the region, Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) is a modern, Joint Commission-accredited, 330-bed full-service hospital located in Idaho Falls. Idaho Falls offers a rich variety of outdoor activities with Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, Jackson, WY and Sun Valley all within a short drive from our hospital.

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion is responsible for the delivery of nursing care to the Infusion populations utilizing the nursing process.  The Registered Nurse (RN) oversees and directs the care of LPN’s and assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.  When the need arises, the RN will perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


  • Provides all aspects of nursing care as they relate to outpatient infusion therapy and maintains accurate paper flow to ensure effective patient care as it relates to outpatient infusion therapy.
  • Assesses all patients who present requesting treatment through the use of the nursing process.  Is responsible for providing up-to-date, timely, and comprehensive nursing care.
  • Coordinates acute care and necessary follow-up with; other staff members, other departments, specialized physicians, the patient’s primary care physician, and all others as necessary.
  • Acts as a liaison for referring physicians of outpatient infusion therapy patients.
  • Participates in departmental quality improvement programs by identifying, collecting, analyzing and documenting the results.

    All standard nursing equipment  including, but not limited to; blood pressure cuff, pulse oximeter, Doppler, IV equipment, satellite testing equipment, external defibulator, patient lifting equipment, scales, information technology systems, environmental equipment and all other items in-serviced and/or trained on. Sophisticated, state-of-the-art equipment is used and may present mechanical and electrical hazards.

    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (required) (BSN preferred)
    • Idaho  RN License in this state (required)
    • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider (required)
    • completion from accredited Registered Nurse program of nursing
    • 2 years of experience in acute care, infusion therapy preferred
