Field Service Commissioning Engineer


To install, commission, service and repair supplied equipment, both in-house and on-site at customer's facilities. Provide support for other functions of business as and when necessary.


i. Undertaking all work activities safely, ensuring compliance with all health, safety and environmental policies and procedures.

ii. Install, commission, service and repair supplied equipment down to component level.

iii. Provide customer instruction and training on the correct operation and maintenance of the equipment.

iv. Supervise third party labor during installation and operation activities.

v. Complete and submit service documentation for customer and internal use.

vi. Make own travel arrangements using the Company provided tool.

vii. Liaise with customers and Management regarding progress of installation and repair work.

viii. Ensure delivery of a quality product and services by following the necessary process and procedures.

ix. Exercise commercial awareness, including promoting products and services, and being conscious of both Sarclad's costs and the customer's costs.

x. Ensure compliance with company expense, travel and entertainment policies.

xi. Assist with other duties as required by the Service Manager.


This position exists to ensure all equipment supplied and serviced by the company is operating effectively, efficiently and safely, meeting the customer's expectations, and therefore providing the highest level of customer satisfaction. This position requires frequent domestic and international travel.


The jobholder must:

i. Be a multi-skilled technician, though biased towards electrical/electronic disciplines

ii. have a minimum of 5 years of experience of working within an industrial setting

iii. Be qualified to a minimum of Associate Degree level in electronic/electronic engineering or a related subject

iv. Have excellent communication skills and experience of dealing with customers at all organizational levels.

v. Be self-motivated and possess good time-management skills.
