SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the supervision of production Team Members, for quality, safety, and any additional assignments deemed appropriate, by management, for this position. The individual in this position must work closely with the management team in achieving objectives; accept full accountability, assignments and day-to-day department responsibility; ensure compliance with all human resource and safety policies, food safety, sanitation and all other duties as determined by management.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience: At least one (1) year experience in the meat industry. Must have general knowledge of production operations and techniques; food safety; product yields, and USDA regulations.
Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Good written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual skills helpful
Special Skills: Team Leader, problem solving, and specialprojects; ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
Supervisory: This person is responsible for supervising a group of team members who perform various production tasks or activities.
This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be given to these applicants. If local Team Members are not selected, Team Members from other locations will then be reviewed for consideration.
