  • THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY: Quality Assurance Manager
  • Food Safety and Product Quality: Ensure all employees who report directly to the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager are trained and knowledgeable in all Company food safety and product quality policies, programs and procedures. This includes the supervision of employee activities and all necessary and related documentation and record keeping/paperwork. As part of this responsibility, the Corporate Quality Assurance Manager must be fully trained in the Company's food safety and product quality policies, programs, and procedures including but not limited to HACCP, GMP, Allergen Control, and Sanitation programs
  • Maintain a safe work environment. Learn, understand and follow all company and regulatory safety programs.
  • Travel to other company facilities as needed to participate in audits, conduct training of quality assurance personnel, and to evaluate and monitor compliance with all company quality assurance and food safety requirements
  • Develops and implements company-wide quality assurance programs, policies and procedures.  Oversees their implementation, training, monitoring, verification and documentation. Responsible for updating quality programs, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and Company requirement s. This includes developing and maintaining the Quality Assurance Food Safety & Quality Programs manual. Reviews and updates the programs as required and at a minimum annually.
  • Responsible for audits required for quality assurance, food safety and certifications at all company locations.
  • Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and mock product recalls and recommends corrective actions.
  • Tracks product quality, hold inventories and reasons for hold, and monitors blend back/disposition of non-conforming products.
  • Responsible for oversight of all documents and records required to comply with regulatory requirement s and to support all company quality assurance and food safety programs

  •  BACKGROUND PROFILE: Quality Assurance Manager
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or closely related field is needed
  • Subject matter expert in Good Manufacturing Practices and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Ability to supervise, monitor or, and mentor laboratory personnel. Ability to direct work flow and delegate responsibilities as necessary
  • Maintains job knowledge through self-education of quality assurance and food safety trends, and new or pending changes in audit compliance or governmental regulations
  • Knowledge and competency in all laboratory and testing methods including (but not limited to) analytical, chemical, and microbiological methods
