The Government Relations Department, part of the ISO Solutions unit of Verisk Insurance Solutions is looking for a Manager State Relations to be responsible for drawing on their deep knowledge of ISO products and services, property and casualty insurance coverages, and compliance to develop and implement strategies to achieve regulatory acceptance of existing and new ISO products and services.


  • Management of ISO's interactions with regulators on ISO product filings, statistical agent functions, regulatory licenses, and related topics.
  • Development and implementation of strategies to achieve approvals and regulatory acceptance of a wide variety of ISO products and services
  • Represent ISO's interests at various regulatory forums
  • Manage ISO's interactions with agent associations, other statistical agents and independent rating bureaus.
  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • Broad and deep knowledge of the insurance industry and ISO's role within it.
  • Broad knowledge of ISO's regulated products, including loss costs, rules, forms and statistical agent functions
  • Proven internal and external leadership skills
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to manage multiple projects with changing priorities and tight timeframes
  • minimum 10 years experience
  • Proven ability to build strong internal and external relationships
  • Team player
  • Direct interaction with regulation highly desirable
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including formal and informal presentation skills
  • CPCU designation highly desirable
  • Product development experience a plus
  • Frequent travel required
