How you will contribute

Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Human Resource Manager position to oversee the Valley Production group.  We are looking for a highly driven individual that will provide leadership, guidance and counsel to the site in regards to policies, labor relations, staffing, compensation, benefits and compliance.  Additionally, you will…

  • Identify and make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness of HR processes as they relate to the goals and business strategies of the business
  • Oversee HR Generalists’ duties and responsibilities to ensure consistency throughout all processes
  • Develop workforce planning initiatives to meet the needs of the production/operations departments
  • Execute full cycle recruiting process including job postings, interviews, assessments and selection of candidates, in an effective and timely manner
  • Provide guidance in employee relations issues including investigations, corrective actions, and terminations
  • Provide general support and customer service to employees and managers on a variety of subjects including but not limited to; benefits, training and development, performance management and compliance
  • What it takes

    Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field
  • Three years of experience recruiting, on-boarding, and exiting employees including a strong understanding of recruiting techniques and assessment of selection processes
  • Strong working knowledge of state & federal employment regulations as well as compliance in government reporting for those items affecting human resources
  • Experience with employee relations, dispute resolution, grievance documentation and litigation avoidance
  • A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills to present the company’s position to employees, management and community groups
  • Highly qualified candidates will also possess:

  • PHR certification (Professional in Human Resources)
  • A strong HRIS systems background, including Applicant Tracking, Time and Labor
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience in a managerial or supervisory role
  • Must be a person of passion and integrity who has the drive to excel and deliver exceptional results
