Flint Hills Resources is currently looking for a Logistics Manager to join our team in Menlo, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direct supervision to mechanics, coordinate schedule break-ins, prioritize daily workload and interface with operations to establish safe conditions for maintenance.

 
A Day In The Life Typically Includes:

  • Daily contact for Merchandisers concerning daily grain and DDGS/MDGS storage and movement (including rail corn)

  • Ensure daily ethanol load schedule attainment is achieved

  • Work with Wichita team on daily ethanol and co-product (corn oil & distiller’s)schedule and commitments and railcar fleet operations (Rescar schedule, rail yard movements)

  • Responsible for adhering to the Customs and Export Controls Compliance Systems and applicable business procedures related to these systems

  • Apply the Guiding Principles and MBM dimensions in your daily work

  • Communicate/drive alignment of site vision/plan with Biofuels and Ingredients vision, strategies, and priorities

  • Communicate and drive the alignment of the Flint Hills Resources Risk Profile

  • Drive the Logistic Team effort to improve the facility EH&S Operational Excellence Philosophy, achieve plant commercial and production goals

  • Ensure and enforce full compliance with Flint Hills Resources Cardinal Rules

  • Lead cultural change in the areas of Safety and Environmental awareness and performance

  • Develop and implement stop gap safety efforts that drive culture change

  • Understand rail regulations to be able to drive them down to the operator level

  • Fleet owner of material receiving/handling/storage ensuring a safe, quality, and compliant storage of material  


  • What You Will Need:


    Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 5 years of experience in corn material handling and storage
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Valid and current government issued driver's license
