Data Center Help Desk Technician; Robert Half has a contract to full time opportunity with a leader in the IT industry. Our client is looking for a Help Desk Technician to work in their Data Center. They are looking for someone with fantastic customer service skills who has a minimum of a year of experience with troubleshooting and break fix of IT and Network equipment. Candidates must have a Cisco certification; either a CCENT, CCNA or the equivalent training. The position is full time hours in a 24x7x365 environment, shifts may vary. Rate of pay is $16.00-$18.00 per hour on contract depending on experience. Data Center Help Desk Technicians will be providing IT support over the phone utilizing remote tools to internal employees. Will be responsible for corporate IT requests relating to 1st and 2nd level IT requests/incidents. Incidents may relate to: applications, software, PC and laptop hardware, peripherals, and password resets in active directory or exchange. The Environment is a fast pace high production environment. You will need to be proactive to help the IT team minimize outages or any down time. Will need to be able to stay calm and be able to quickly adjust to changing priorities. Be able to work with non-technical and technical employees in a courteous professional manner. Will need provide clear and detailed technical documentation on IT incidents. Candidates should have at least 1 year of current experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis and break/fix of PC and Laptop hardware, peripherals, LAN/WAN connectivity issues, Microsoft Outlook, Windows 7/8.1 or 10, Microsoft Office or Office 365. Job RequirementsData Center Help Desk Technicians requirements: -Must have or have had a Cisco certification; either a CCENT, CCNA or the equivalent training -CompTIA Certifications are highly desired. -Will be required to have or obtain CompTIA A+ or Network+ certifications within 90 days of starting -Familiarity with ITIL methodology -Must have clear written and verbal communication skills in English -Be able to deliver top notch customer service under pressure -1+ year of current relevant experience supporting IT in a fast paced environment -1+ year of current experience in troubleshooting and break/fix of PC, laptop and peripherals -1+ year of experience with technical documentation and IT ticketing system -1+ year of experience utilizing remote access tools in support of end user IT related issues
